About Me
I've never been into makeup- I have extremely sensitive skin, and foundations always broke me out and emphasized my acne and dry patches. So for many years, I avoided it altogether. Now that I've finally found a skincare routine that works, and have my skin under control, I'm excited to get more into makeup!

Outside of skincare and makeup, my primary hobbies are lolita fashion and nail art, and I'm a total sucker for anything cute or girly.

My Focus
When I started looking for beauty products to try, I instantly gravitated towards Asian products- as someone who's been interested in Asian fashion for over a decade, I had heard so many good things about them! But sadly, I ran up against a wall- a majority of the reviews of products were by pale women, and covered products meant for pale women. Reviews of items like BB creams, lipsticks, and shadows were largely useless to me, due to the difference in our skintones. There's only a small handful of beauty blogs by and for darker-skinned girls, and I would love to help other women avoid wasting money on a product that won't work for them!

I do tend to avoid full-sized products that I know won't work for me, like blatantly too-pale BB creams. Similarly, I tend to avoid things like poorly pigmented cake blushes and pale lipsticks- those will never in a million years show up in a flattering way on my darker skin.

This may sound kind of limiting in the world of Asian cosmetics, where pale BB creams and pastel lip shades are numerous, but there's still plenty of ground for me to cover! I focus on products like lip, eye, and cheek items that I think might stand a chance on my skin. I'm also a total nail polish nut, so I love showing off my nail art! I also like testing out fun or gimmicky skin products. And I am, of course, completely powerless in the face of adorable packaging. I can't count the number of products I've ordered for their cute boxes or containers- and sometimes, it even works out for me!
